180 & 190 Saucer
“I wanted a ski that had a generally round shape like a saucer to maximize flotation and rise. If you hypothetically continued the wide points of the tips and tails and connected them the ski would be round. The problem with a round ski is that you lose accuracy on hard snow. This is the importance of a narrow waste. To maintain the ability to effectively carve off jumps and maintain maximum control in any hard snow circumstances. The ski really doesn’t have any side cut. It has only 3mm of sidecut where the ski contacts the snow. The shape of the ski appears to have a
lot of sidecut, but the wide points are meant to have no contact with the snow. The purpose of maximizing the wide points in the specific locations in the tip and tail and the purpose of the wide shovel shaped tip and tail is to create sufficient platforms for the purpose of buttering in soft snow. The rider can roll on to these platforms on their tails or on their tips and ride the ski effectively. This ski is designed as a versatile backcountry jib tool and an all mountain powder ski.”

Technology
The Saucer is a reverse camber ski. The straight part of the ski is flat under foot. The rise of the reverse camber starts at the beginning of the wide point under the foot. There is 1/4 of an inch of rise on the tip and tail. The Saucer is available in 180cm and 190cm lengths. Tip, waist and tail widths are the same for the 180cm and 190cm Saucers.
